Move Into Action

During the Move into Action phase, partners put their plan into action while keeping their common goal at the forefront of their process. They carry out their plan, reflect on its effectiveness, and then decide whether to make any changes. They also collect information about the impact of their plan on student learning.

During the Move into Action phase, you put your plan into action while keeping your common goal in mind. You carry out an activity , reflect on its effectiveness, and then decide whether or not to modify your plan. During this time, you also gather information about your students’ learning.

Based on the method(s) you chose to gather information, you further discuss with your partner the elements you want to observe about the expected impact defined in your common goal.

While implementing your plan, it is important to find ways to communicate with one another that work best for both of you. Keep in mind that the purpose should be:

  • to keep each other informed
  • to share observations and reflections
  • to revise and adjust your plan

This ongoing communication will help set the groundwork for the next phase of this process, where you will analyze the information you gathered.
